In association with HarperCollins Children’s Books, Read for Good were delighted to host a brilliant live online event for Readathon schools with the wonderful David Baddiel on Friday 15 November 2024.
Close to 50,000 pupils from over 50 schools joined live for a fabulous event with David in conversation with one of Read for Good’s amazing professional storytellers, Jen Lunn. David shared his inspiration for and readings from his best-selling book, The Parent Agency, and his latest book, Small Fry. David also answered a range of questions from pupils about his books, characters and writing inspiration.
We were delighted that David joined us for this event, celebrating 40 years of Readathon, sharing his brilliant books and his love of stories.
We are incredibly grateful to HarperCollins for their support in making this event happen and for organising the kind donation of some of David’s books which formed prize draw bundles for 10 lucky schools chosen at random from the schools who registered to watch the live event.
David’s books are aimed at ages 8+ years and the event will be freely available for all to watch on our website from March 2025.
