World Book Day charity partner, Read for Good is working with schools across the UK to help foster and reignite a love of reading wherever children are.
From some 10,000 children across Liverpool pledging to Drop Everything and Read at 10am on World Book Day to a series of online author events for 100 schools in our home county of Gloucestershire we’ve had to think creatively of ways to deliver impactful activities on one of the most important days in our charity’s calendar.
Authors and illustrators cheering on more than 40,000 children as part of our Read Gloucestershire campaign this World Book Day include Sarah McIntyre, Tracey Corderoy, Adam Baron and Gabriel Dylan. We’re also working with World Book Day on a pilot programme to distribute 2,400 books directly to schools in deprived areas of Gloucestershire.
