Storytelling on BBC’s Morning Live

BBC Presenters Gethin Jones and Kimberley Walsh told stories to children in hospital across the UK.

To mark their Christmas end-of-series show, BBC’s Morning Live explored Read for Good’s work storytelling in hospitals. Gethin and Kimberley were given some storytelling training and top tips by professional Read for Good storyteller, Wilf Merttens. Drawing from Read for Good’s storytelling training programme, they learnt how to successfully create fun stories with children. Gethin and Kimberley then went on to create a story for 17 seriously ill children, beamed into the studio from hospitals across the UK.

Children were delighted with the Christmas story, and their smiles said it all!
