Volunteering for us

Lots of people ask us if they can volunteer to read or tell stories to children in hospital. Each individual hospital has its own volunteer recruitment process, so it’s not something we are can offer. Our hospital storytellers are professionally trained and undergo rigorous checks and training before they’re able to work on the wards with children. But it’s worth contacting your local hospital to find out what volunteering opportunities they have.

We occasionally have vacancies for office volunteers. They support the huge logistical operation to deliver over 25,000 brand new books to children’s hospitals around the UK every year. There’s definitely a bit of magic dust in the air around our volunteers.
