Our work in the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, Edinburgh

We’ve been bringing brand new books and regular storytelling visits to children at the
Royal Hospital for Children and Young People since 2016 – and we’re thrilled to continue the service in their brand new site.

Edinburgh has the most wonderful hospital arts team, who recognise the importance of books and stories to aid young people in hospital. Our highly experienced Scottish storyteller, Gerry, enchants children and their families throughout the wards, with his traditional tales and spell-binding stories.

“A book is like a window onto another part of the world . . . it makes you feel like you’re not just stuck in hospital.”
