READ Gloucestershire!
READ Gloucestershire! is a county-wide campaign to engage Gloucestershire’s children in reading for pleasure, because reading makes things better. Schools across the county are joining forces with library services, community groups, theatres and festivals in a two-year initiative led by children’s charity, Read for Good.
We will be delivering programmes, working in partnership with Gloucestershire organisations, leveraging support from national charities and engaging cross-sector stakeholders to enable population-level impact on children’s reading attitudes and behaviours.
Schools can run our tried-and-tested Readathon, take part in our monthly Drop Everything and Read events, and join our author / illustrator inspiring events.
If you are a school interested in taking part, please visit our schools page here. If you would like to register for our update newsletters, please click here.
