We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the support for our Radio 4 Appeal, as so many people generously donated, shared our message, and sent wonderful messages of support to Hannah, William, and their family. Whilst our Appeal has ended, you can still donate to us in order to support the vital programmes that we run, hear Hannah’s powerful story, and learn more about William.
When William was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 13, Read for Good’s books and storyteller helped him to process the news. They continue to help him, and his family, cope with the ongoing treatment.
We provide new books and resident storytellers to the 30 major UK children’s hospitals, providing essential comfort, distraction, entertainment and relief at a time when it’s needed the most.
Our long-standing partners, National Book Tokens and The Booksellers Association, threw their support behind our Appeal and generously doubled donations up to a value of £15,000.
If you have any questions about our work, please see our Appeal FAQs page, otherwise email reading@readforgood.org and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
