Our work in Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales, Cardiff

Our service providing books and storyteller visits for the children of Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales, Cardiff started in 2015. We send 120 brand new books to the hospital every six weeks or so, along with a visit from resident storyteller, Michael.

As well as our normal supply of carefully-chosen, brand new books, we also send Welsh language books to Noah’s Ark. Sending this additional set of books is incredibly important to us, as it promotes the importance of Welsh heritage throughout the hospital.

“Thank you so much to everyone who supports Read For Good, we had our delivery just in time for World Book Day. These books provide a much needed escapism for children and adults alike.”

Hospital Teacher, Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital for Wales

Young patients, their families, and the staff at Noah’s Ark Children’s Hospital love their visits from Michael, who delights patients with his tall tales and surprising stories. You’d be amazed at the stories children create with Michael, inspired by his bag of random objects!
