Walker Books and Read for Good are SUPER excited to announce that the third annual MICHAEL ROSEN DAY will take place on THURSDAY 12 NOVEMBER.  And we would love you to join us to celebrate the nation’s favourite funny poet in this unmissable celebration of poetry and stories!

WHAT. A. YEAR. Michael Rosen has had so far, turning 80 and winning the Hans Christian Andersen Award for Writing, the most prestigious accolade for a children’s author. There have been celebrations all year, so, in the National Year of Reading, it’s only right that this should be the biggest and best Michael Rosen Day yet!

This year, the theme for children across the land to have fun with is Silly School Stuff – whether there’s ‘No Breathing in Class’ or a ‘Dinner Disaster’, don’t miss out!

Last year, an amazing 382,000 children were registered to join our Poetry Party. This year, we’re inviting even more schools to Go All In for the magic of Michael Rosen and the Silly School Stuff bonanza. It’ll be a fantastic event, bursting with Michael’s trademark raps, rhymes, stories and fun for everyone.
