Helen Cooper, Librarian, King Henry VIII School celebrates a hushed Library full of Y7 pupils with their eyes glued to the pages of a book
10th February 2016
So we’re a week in to our month-long Readathon and things seem to be going well for Year 7. There’s nothing better than a hushed Library full of Year 7 pupils with their eyes glued to the pages of a book.
I have offered a daily Reading Group in the Library at lunchtimes, but so far no one has taken me up on it. I think that’s probably due to lack of publicity, which can be easily remedied. Also, of course, Readathon isn’t the only thing going on in School and pupils are spoilt for choice when it comes to sports and other lunchtime activities.
