Exclusive event with Emma Carroll!

Join us on the eve of World Book Day for a fabulous FREE LIVE virtual author event for Readathon schools with the bestselling and award-winning Queen of Historical Fiction, Emma Carroll.

The event will be LIVE at 10am on Wednesday 2 March (duration approx. 45 mins) and is hosted in collaboration with Authors Aloud UK. Eligible schools will be sent a registration link in the new year.

Emma will share her latest book, The Week at World’s End – a gripping story set in Britain in 1962, during the Cuban missile crisis, which explores family, friendship, courage and hope (perfect for ages 9+).

Terms and Conditions

  • All schools who have signed up to run Readathon in 2021-2022, will be eligible to attend the event. You can order your Readathon kit here.
  • Schools must be signed up to run Readathon by 28 February 2022
  • Eligible schools will be sent an email to register for the event by Authors Aloud UK and Authors Aloud UK will supply the event link prior to the event
  • The event is live and cannot be accessed in any other way
  • If schools have multiple classrooms that need to access the event, each classroom will have to register for a link separately – event links cannot be shared
