Ramona is about to start her second term at Spell School. There is a new boy who appears to know everything and is boastful. It turns out he is nothing of the sort and needs Ramona and her friends who get him out of trouble! The pupils make their own wands casting good spells only! At the end of term they meet Rock, the troll who is the guardian of the forest. Rock takes the class to Rocky Hills. The hills are made from lots of other trolls, fast asleep! They are covered in ferns from the big sleep and now need a good scrub. Who better to help them than a class of trainee witches? Great fun!
Lively illustrations, lovely use of adjectives. A small book for small hands. Deals with feelings, putting on a front, friendship – lots of opportunity for questions and discussions.
