Jules understands Aurelia or at least isn’t afraid of her magic. Although they get off to a rocky start, Aurelia learns that Jules is searching for a way for an untethered witch to keep their magic, something she needs, too. Together, the unlikely pair team up. Through secret library meetings, an alliance is formed during the magical season of ballgowns and glamours. They soon learn that there is a murderer out there, killing witches. An uprising is making its way through town, and Aurelia and Jules find themselves fighting to reveal the answers. Aurelia and Jules face more than one obstacle as the fake dating between them turns to something more real.
Overall, The Wycherleys was a magnificent read. I found myself drawn in by the world that the author has created and all the magical systems. I loved the found family and friendships that the book had, and the way that Aurelia and Constance were there for one another throughout hard times, and how Constance saw Aurelia for who she was beyond her curse. I am so excited for more books in The Wycherleys series, because I cannot wait to go back into this captivating world. I would recommend this to fans of Divine rivals and Bridgerton and anyone over 13.
I would give this book five out of five stars as it was such an amazing book!
