A lovely rhyming story about how what looks the best isn’t necessarily so .Unlike the bird, the beaver and the bee who have bright and shiny homes to show, mole only has a mound, but when the storm comes it is mole whose unseen home is the safest and most welcoming.
The language throughout is melodic, inviting the reader to join in and I liked the clear and colourful illustrations. This is a story for our very judgemental age but fortunately for a very young child it is also a very entertaining read aloud story.
