The Dark Days Club

Alison Goodman

Set in London in the 1810s, Lady Helen Wrexhall starts her first London season and expects nothing besides the balls, marriage alliances and Almack’s. However, her meeting with the reputed Lord Carlston soon throws these plans overboard as her debutante world is infiltrated with demons and fights to the death.

A book of brilliantly depicted Regency London paired with an equally brilliant female protagonist, the combination of historical fiction and demon fighting, thought about in a way I personally haven’t seen before makes this a brilliant read. Probably one for slightly older YA readers, but a truly wonderful blend of the historical and the fantastical.

The book is first of the Lady Helen series.
