The Curse of the Tomb Robbers

Andy Seed, illustrated by James Weston Lewis

Published by Nosy Crow in collaboration with The British Museum, this is the first in a series of interactive non-fiction books written by the inimitable Andy Seed and fantastically illustrated by James Weston Lewis.

Using the incredible fold-out hieroglyph chart and dictionary the reader goes on an adventure with best friends Nub & Iteti to stop the gang of robbers from raiding a royal tomb. Can you help prevent the deadly curse from being unleashed and work out who master-minded the whole thing?

The book is very clever, it interweaves a fiction story with lots of facts, puzzles to complete, scorpions to spot and 6 cats to find. So much to learn, the pages are well laid out and the word ‘nincompoop’ is not used often enough in books.

A great read for ages 7+. There’s also a handy glossary at the back as well as the solutions to the puzzles if you get stumped!

I can’t wait for the rest of the series!
