What started out as a happy sandcastle building time on a beach for three children turns into an exciting adventure of challenges and problem solving. Leo loves facts and figures and space. Lily thrives on problem solving and satisfying her curiosity. Bea has a brain that buzzes with new ideas and inventions. All these skills will be stretched as they find themselves in a magical world facing a huge problem. Loyalty and friendships deepen through their latest adventure.

I enjoyed being drawn into this magical world aided by the map and glossary. The author weaves scientific and environmental facts into the story, satisfying children’s natural curiosity and questioning. The magical use of present day environmental issues will help them treasure and respect our planet.
