A visit to the Natural History Museum for Tom does not turn out as expected, he finds himself drawn into the extraordinary world of the Questers Academy by his new friend Leesha. Tom has an unusual and amazing ability which comes into play when they are chasing a theft and following clues around London. Tom has a time deadline which increases the pressure to solve the theft and puzzle. Will they do it in time?
This is certainly action packed with a mixture of mystery and magic. The use of digitised times at the start of some of the chapters helps to create a sense of increasing urgency. Tom and Leesha, and later Finn, learn very quickly the need to understand and trust each other. The use of real landmarks in London will create a thirst to visit. The reader is left with a mysterious clue – a sequel??
