Pony Club Rivals Series

Book 1: The Auditions (2010)
It was a great book. When Georgie is at the auditions it is so nerve racking even though you are just reading the book, especially at the cross-country because she has a perfect time at the start but when Tyro takes the water jump at the wrong stride Georgie knows she is in trouble. The characters were funny, touching and dramatic, and the constant action kept me wanting more.
I would give this book 4 stars because it had slow parts but apart from that, it kept readers on the edge of their seats

Book 2: Showjumpers (2010)
The stakes are raised in the second book of this glamorous new horse-riding series set in the USA, where the winner takes all as the rivals compete for the showjumping cup! I love Georgie’s character development in this book. With so much going on around her between school, dramas, boys, horses and fatigues, life at Blainford is pretty wild for her and the subplots in this book certainly keep a reader on their toes. It follows on from the first book seamlessly and perfectly.

Book 3: Riding Star (2011)
There’s more backstabbing and drama as loyalties are tested to the limit in the third book of the highly competitive life at elite riding school, Blainford Academy as Georgie’s skills get tested on the polo field.
Georgie Parker has come out on top after her first term at Blainford All-Stars’ Academy but after excelling in the showjumping ring Georgie needs to outclass her rivals on the polo pitch too. Georgie starts to wonder if Kennedy Kirkwood is out to cause trouble again.
I wasn’t sure which boy Georgie would choose between James and Riley. It was interesting how Georgie and her friends: Alice, Daisy and Emily got to make a polo team and stand up for girls playing sports that normally boy’s play. I really enjoyed this book and is my favourite of the series so far. In this book I felt as if we are in the book more than the last one. There’s more focus on her relationships this time as she is forced to choose between James and Riley- but there’s a bit of a twist.

Book 4: The Prize (2011)
It’s a new term and Georgie is eager to take on her rivals once more. Having surprised everyone on the polo field, Georgie’s ambitions are sky high and she’s keen to take her riding to the next level. Meanwhile Kennedy Kirkwood has plans of her own which might not turn out so well for Georgie.
This is the last book in this series. I have no clue why they stopped here, the first year is just over and there are still a few years left at the school. It is a shame that this one never got any further. We will never find out what happens in the classes, what they will learn, will they graduate, and many other questions.
