Kid Got Shot

Simon Mason

Meet Garvie Smith. He is not your typical 16-year-old student at Marsh Academy and for a start, he is not very focussed on the big exams coming up. However, he is very focussed on helping solve crimes, and one big crime has just landed right on the school’s doorstep. A school boy has just been found in a lock-up close by. He is dressed neatly in his school uniform and with his glasses still on; next to him is his school bag and next to that is an empty violin case and next to that… a handgun. There’s a pool of blood building as this schoolboy is dead. Very dead.

The police are asking lots of questions, but they are all the wrong questions. The right questions deserve the right answers. Now is the time for Garvie to get a shift on and solve the crime of the murdered school boy. If he’s quick, Garvie might even get to that French exam after all!

You will just love the character of Garvie Smith, the ultimate slacker when it comes to school work but this teenager is totally dedicated to finding the truth and nothing will stop him – even the police.

Kid Got Shot is the second page-turning book in the Garvie Smith Mysteries trilogy from the very talented writer, Simon Mason. If you love this one (I am sure you will), you should try Running Girl and Hey Sherlock which are equally good.
