I love anything that Katya Balen writes. She always uses language so beautifully and this new book, Ghostlines, is no exception.
Tilda adores being a part of the small island community where she lives. She loves making dens and fires on the beach with her friends just as much as canoeing out to sea. Best of all she loves the island puffins. Deep inside however she mourns her brother Rowan who is no longer with them, so when a new boy arrives on the island Tilda sets out to make him appreciate the place as much as she does by taking him to a forbidden haunted islet.
