Corpse Talk: Dead, Famous & Very Chatty

Adam & Lisa Murphy

From the brightly coloured pages of the inimitable Phoenix comic comes a new edition of historical non-fiction. Divided into 18 chapters and presented as a chat show, the book contains interviews with well known people from history, such as Charles Darwin and Pocahontas as well as lesser-known ones such as Khutulun, a wrestling princess from the 13th century all related in a humorous, entertaining way.

I really enjoyed this. It’s no mean feat to produce an explanation of Aristotle’s philosophy in a way to make you laugh aloud but the text combined with the comic style art works exceptionally well.

At the end of the book are instructions for readers who want to create their own comic which I have no doubt many will be inspired to do.
