Our sponsored read gets pupils reading – for good!

Give it a go, and our patron, Sir Tony Robinson could be visiting your school with his fact-filled, fun show!

It’s so simple and it really does work. Our sponsored read provides:

MOTIVATION – pupils are motivated because the money they raise by reading buys books and storytellers for children in hospital
INCLUSION – pupils choose what and how they read, from comics to classics, so reluctant readers give it a go and able readers read more widely
REWARDS – your school gets free books worth 20% of your sponsorship total and a £10 National Book Token
RESULTS – schools who run our sponsored read attain higher results, especially if they run it year on year

Complete your sponsored read by 30th June 2018 and you’ll have the chance to win a visit from Read for Good’s patron, Sir Tony Robinson, author of The Worst Children’s Jobs in History and the Weird World of Wonders range, and much loved TV presenter – he will inspire pupils of all ages (and teachers too!) with his laugh-out-loud, fact-filled show.

“Their sponsored read is a fantastic event that is a joy to organised each year. It never fails to make me proud when a student is beaming with pride over how many books they have read or how much money they have raised.”
