Liverpool City Readathon

We  joined forces with Liverpool Learning Partnership to run our Readathon across the whole city during Libraries Week (9-14 October 2017). We built a buzz about books in nurseries, schools and colleges by asking pupils to read what they love, helping us create a community of readers and support our storyteller and bookcase at Alder Hey.

For more information email liverpool@readforgood.org, view our press release here or see us on the local news here.

“We love the loop of children in our schools reading to bring stories into our hospital.

Imagination is a ticket out to the wider world when you’re in hospital. The power of stories is incredible and something I’ve seen first-hand at Alder Hey with Read for Good.”

Vicky Charnock, Alder Hey’s Arts Coordinator
